Town of Westlock Storm Water Plan
The Town of Westlock is getting ready to upgrade its drainage systems, to help with future flooding. At the last town council meeting, the town adopted their new storm water master plan. Highlights of the plan include upgrading the drainage ditch that runs along 96 avenue and 113A street, construction of a series of storm water ponds, and an extensive survey of the Southview neighbourhood, to find out why it's the most frequently flooded. The entire cost of the plan comes in at more than $7 milllion. The town will begin budgeting for it during the budget deliberations.
